It all starts with the calculation
The reading starts from where the planets were at the moment you were born
The calculation is astronomical: the position of each planet in the sky on the date, at the time and in the city of your birth. That is why the time matters so much, since a few minutes change the reading. Without it, Vedik does not build the chart.
That is what separates describing a personality from understanding a specific moment in your life.
The KP system
A school built to answer when
Within the Vedic tradition, Vedik uses the KP system (Krishnamurti Paddhati), a predictive method with a logic different from Western astrology. Beyond describing who you are, it was developed to answer when things tend to happen. To do that, it looks at the sky in finer and finer layers.
First comes the general position of the planet, which is the background. Then the constellation it is in, already a much more specific slice than the sign. And finally the subdivision inside that constellation, the most detailed level of all, where two people born a few minutes apart already have different stories.
It is a bit like saying “you are in Brazil”, then “you are in Ceará” and finally “you are on this street, at this number”. KP gets to the house number. That fine ruler is what makes it possible to talk about the moments of your life.
Job changes, relationships, money and turning points, with the window of months in which each matter tends to happen. No guarantee of outcome: the decision stays yours.

Life does not move in a straight line. There are phases of building, of harvest, of waiting and of change. Each one has its own climate.
KP sees this through a system of periods that work like chapters of your chart unfolding over time. Knowing which chapter you are in makes all the difference, because the same decision can be spot on at one moment and hasty at another.

KP is a complex method, full of Sanskrit terms and calculations, and for a long time it stayed in the hands of a few.
At Vedik, the calculations are done by our own engine, which processes the astronomical data and applies the logic of the KP system. The AI receives the results already calculated and turns that technical structure into a clear conversation.

Knowledge only matters if it reaches everyone
For a long time Vedic astrology was limited to those with access to a specialist or years to study. We believe this knowledge should reach anyone, in language they understand.
Where all this comes from
An ancient tradition. A refined method
Vedic astrology was born in ancient India, thousands of years ago, as part of the knowledge tied to the Vedas. Contrary to what many people imagine, it began by observing the sky, following the movement of the planets to understand how time shapes human experience. It is one of the oldest traditions of observation still alive today.
The KP system is much more recent, about 70 years old. It was created by an astrologer from South India, Prof. K. S. Krishnamurti, in the middle of the 20th century. He studied Indian and Western astrology in depth and looked for a way to answer more precisely when something tends to happen.
The way he found was to look at the sky in finer divisions, down to subdivisions inside each constellation. Krishnamurti Paddhati means exactly “the method of Krishnamurti”.
KP refines the Vedic tradition. It uses the same planets and the same constellations as always, with a finer ruler. That heritage, ancient in origin and precise in method, is behind every Vedik reading.
