In KP, buying and selling property have different houses. Buying is read through houses 4, 11 and 12. Selling is read through houses 3, 5 and 10. So the first thing to define is which of the two you want to read, and the period for each one may open in a different month.
Someone who sells an apartment to buy another has, in the chart, two events. Each with its own window.
Buying: houses 4, 11 and 12
KP (Krishnamurti Paddhati) is the method of the Indian astrologer K. S. Krishnamurti. It reads each topic through a set of houses and their significators, the planets that connect to those houses by position and by the star they sit in.
To own a property, Krishnamurti says to look at houses 4, 11 and 12 (K. S. Krishnamurti, KP Reader III, p. 273). The logic of each one is clear:
| House | What it shows in a purchase | Source |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | Permanent ownership, your own home | KP Reader III, p. 273 |
| 11 | The fulfillment of the wish | KP Reader VI, p. 174 |
| 12 | The investment, the money going out | KP Reader VI, p. 174 |
In Reader III, he describes the 12th as the house of issuing the check. It is the payment. And the sub-lord of the 4th cusp, the ruler of the subdivision where the 4th house begins, indicates what the property will be used for (KP Reader III, p. 273).
When the property is already built and you buy it from someone, two more houses come in, the 6th and the 9th (KP Reader VI, p. 174). The reasoning is elegant. The seller is the 7th house. The 6th is the 12th house counted from the 7th, the loss for them. Their property is the 10th house, the fourth counted from the 7th, and the 9th is the loss of that property. In your chart, the purchase appears as the seller giving up what is theirs.
Selling: houses 3, 5 and 10
To sell, the reading switches sides. Krishnamurti judges houses 3, 5 and 10 (K. S. Krishnamurti, KP Reader VI, p. 178):
- 3: it is the 12th house counted from the 4th. It is you giving up the property.
- 10: the buyer is the 7th house, and the 10th is the fourth from them, the property they come to own.
- 5: it is the 11th counted from the 7th, the buyer's wish fulfilled.
For handing over the keys, he adds houses 3 and 12 (KP Reader VI, p. 178).
Selling in order to buy
When the plan combines the two operations, the chart may show a path for one before the other. Sometimes the chart shows a path for the purchase and also something that calls for attention, which tends to appear in another period. Vedik's sentence for property is this: "Attention: selling is more likely than buying." Along with it comes what to consider: compare options and terms calmly.
With this information, you organize the sequence. You can sell first and rent while you search. You can also negotiate deadlines so the two closings happen close to each other.
Define the event before the month
| Instead of | Ask |
|---|---|
| Will I sort out the house? | Which period favors me buying a property? |
| Will I sell the apartment? | Which period favors me selling my property? |
| When do I close the deal? | In what month and year does my chart favor signing the purchase? |
| Will I move? | Which period favors a change of residence? |
The last row is a different topic. Changing address is read through houses 3, 9 and 12, and you can find that reading in when to move to another city.
The reading and the deal
The chart reads your period to buy or sell. Price, property documents, financing and the installments in your budget call for their own analysis, with a lawyer and with the bank. Vedik does not recommend taking on debt. A favorable date never replaces the math of how much fits in your month.
A favorable window helps you decide when to negotiate and sign. If 2027 has no favorable period for the purchase, the chapter opens with YEAR OF WAITING and says when the next one begins. You use the time to organize your finances and documents. See the difference between a year of waiting and no conclusion.
At Vedik
Vedik's 2027 Report, available in Portuguese, has the chapter "Home: buying a property". It shows in which periods of the year negotiating and closing the purchase are favored, ready from your birth data. Financing and credit are outside the chapter. The sale, or a question about a specific property, fits VedikAI, which answers in the chat from your chart with the window by month and year, 1 credit per question.
The reading gives the context of the period, and the last word is always yours.
