"Inconclusive" means the calculation didn't reach an answer: neither yes nor no. Vedik would rather say that than pick a side without grounds. Knowing this changes the way you decide: you stop waiting for permission and start weighing what you have in hand.
Where this answer shows up
In Vedik's 2027 Report, it shows up in two places. As the answer for an entire chapter, alongside THE CHART SHOWS A PATH., THE CHART SHOWS NO PATH. and A YEAR OF WAITING. And as the mark for a month or a period, alongside FAVORABLE and WAIT.
When the entire chapter comes out inconclusive, it shows no months. When only some periods come out inconclusive, the chapter shows the others normally.
How the method arrives at this answer
Vedik's engine follows KP, the method of the Indian astrologer K. S. Krishnamurti. In KP, each area of life is read through a group of houses in the chart. For marriage, Krishnamurti himself examines houses 2, 7 and 11 to know whether it is promised (K. S. Krishnamurti, KP Reader III, p. 300). For employment, houses 2, 6 and 10 (KP Reader VI, p. 275).
The first question the engine asks is this: does your chart promise the subject? To answer, it follows the rule Krishnamurti himself published. It looks at the sub-lord of the subject's cusp and the star it's in, and checks whether they signify the subject's houses (K. S. Krishnamurti, Astrology and Athrishta, Sept. 1967, pp. 11 and 12). The possible answers:
- The chart shows a path. The answer will be THE CHART SHOWS A PATH or A YEAR OF WAITING, depending on the periods in 2027. If the chart also shows something that calls for attention, the sentence says so. The report doesn't calculate whether or when that happens.
- The chart shows no path. The answer will be THE CHART SHOWS NO PATH, and the chapter shows no months.
- The calculation doesn't conclude. This is where INCONCLUSIVE comes in.
The calculation doesn't conclude in three situations. The first: the link that would decide the subject only appears through a route the method treats as a last resort, without saying when it applies. The second: the period depends on a point that two authors of the method read in different ways, and Vedik hasn't yet adopted either one. The third: a piece of chart data is missing.
How it differs from "a year of waiting" and "the chart shows no path"
The three answers get mixed up at first glance. They say very different things.
| Answer | What the calculation found |
|---|---|
| A YEAR OF WAITING. | The chart shows a path, and 2027 brings no favorable period. The report says when the next one begins, when it exists in the following years. |
| THE CHART SHOWS NO PATH. | The chart shows no path for the subject. The chapter shows no months. |
| INCONCLUSIVE. | The calculation didn't reach an answer. The report says neither yes nor no. |
A year of waiting is about the calendar. "Shows no path" is about the chart. Inconclusive says the calculation stopped before answering. An inconclusive period is not a waiting period.
What to do with this answer
An open answer puts the weight back on the facts of your life. That's useful. You stop depending on a date and start looking at what you already know.
A few questions help you move forward:
- Is there a concrete offer, invitation or deadline on the table?
- What do you know today that makes the option good or bad, regardless of the chart?
- What preparation makes sense either way, whatever the outcome?
- At what point is it worth looking at the subject again?
Someone looking for work can keep sending applications. Someone thinking about moving to another city can visit the destination and run the numbers. Someone who wants a commitment can talk about expectations. None of these actions needs a signal to begin.
Keep what the method said
If the event happens, write it down. If it doesn't, write that down too. Vedik's Prediction Diary keeps what VedikAI predicted and asks for your assessment afterward: it happened, it partly happened, or it didn't happen. Recording both sides is what gives value to any reading, including the open answers.
A calculation that knows how to say "here I can't conclude" deserves more trust on the occasions when it does show a path. The method shows what it finds. The final word is always yours.
