What a Saturn, Rahu or Jupiter phase brings for you depends on your chart. In the KP method, the planet ruling the period delivers the results of the houses it represents in your birth chart. That is why two people in the Saturn phase can live very different things: for one, the period is about career, for the other, about moving house.

Why there is no fixed description
Many texts give a ready-made list: "the Saturn phase brings delays", "the Jupiter phase brings luck". The KP method reads it another way. Krishnamurti writes that a matter happens when the planets ruling the period are significators of the houses of that matter (KP Reader VI, p.189). And, about Rahu, that the prediction should be made through the planet Rahu represents in the person's chart (KP Reader III, p.91).
In simple words: the planet is the messenger. The message comes from the houses it carries in your chart. See house significators.
How to read your period
- See which planet rules your cycle and your phase. See how to know which phase you are in.
- See which houses that planet represents in your chart. This includes the house it is in, the houses it rules and those of the star it is in.
- Cross it with the subject that matters now. Work, money, relationship or a move. Each subject has its own group of houses. See the 12 houses.
The most searched phases
- Saturn, 19 years. People who fear the planet's reputation often look it up. In KP, Saturn delivers what its houses show, and that can be career, property or stability. Also see what the Saturn phase is in life.
- Rahu, 18 years. It is read through the planet it represents in your chart. See Rahu and Ketu.
- Jupiter, 16 years. It has a reputation as a good period. In KP, it favors the matters of the houses it represents, and only those.
