Reliability depends on who does the math. At Vedik, the chart is calculated by its own engine, with the Swiss ephemeris and the rules of the KP method. Artificial intelligence comes in afterward and writes the conversation on top of what the engine calculated. To evaluate any service, separate three parts: the calculation, the method and the answer.
Part one: the calculation
The chart starts with three pieces of data: date, time and city of birth. With them, the engine finds the positions of the planets at the minute you were born. This stage is astronomy and has a correct answer.
At Vedik, the calculation follows four technical choices:
- Swiss ephemeris. The same base of planetary positions used in astronomy and in serious astrology software.
- Krishnamurti's ayanamsa. The ayanamsa is the correction that aligns the zodiac with the stars. Krishnamurti fixed his own and was emphatic: "Follow Krishnamurti Ayanamsa" (K. S. Krishnamurti, KP Reader VI, p. 243).
- Placidus houses. The semi-arc system that KSK describes and uses in his examples (KP Reader I, p. 43).
- Automatic time zone and daylight saving time. The engine finds the city's time zone from its coordinates and applies the daylight saving time in effect when you were born.
The birth time is required. Without it, the houses change and the reading loses its foundation. That is why no new chart is created without a time.
Part two: the method
With the positions in hand, the engine applies the rules of KP, the method of the Indian astrologer K. S. Krishnamurti. This is where the chart becomes an answer about life.
KP reads each matter through a group of houses. Employment, for example, is read through houses 2, 6 and 10 (KP Reader VI, p. 275). The planets that link the matter to these houses are the significators, with an order of strength defined in the book. Timing comes from the Vimshottari, the 120-year system of phases. The engine calculates four levels of it: the main phase, the sub-period and two smaller levels, used in the chat.
All of these calculations belong to the engine. The artificial intelligence receives the finished result. No chart calculation goes through it.
Part three: the answer
VedikAI is the one that talks with you. It receives what the engine calculated for your chart and answers in plain language, without requiring you to know what a sub-period is. You ask about work, love or a move, and the answer comes tied to the moment you are in.
The precision of the answer follows what the method supports. When you ask "when", VedikAI answers with the month and year in which the turn opens. This is the part of the conversation that calls for the most care from any service: the text must say only what the calculation showed.
How to evaluate any service
A few questions separate serious calculation from nice-sounding text. They apply to any tool you use.
| What to look at | A question that helps |
|---|---|
| Data | Does it ask for date, time and city, or only your sign? |
| Configuration | Does it say which ayanamsa and which house system it uses? |
| Who calculates | Does the calculation come from an engine, before the conversation? |
| Scope | Does the answer say how far it goes, in months or in days? |
| Checking | Can you record the prediction and evaluate it later? |
If the answer changes only because you insisted, ask what changed in the underlying data. A good service explains what calls for attention, even when that goes against what you wanted to hear.
Checking later
Vedik has a Prediction Diary. It keeps what VedikAI predicted, with the question and the period, and later asks for your evaluation: it happened, it partly happened or it did not happen. You can note the day the event took place. It is the simplest way to measure a reading against your own life.
What the conversation adds
The technical reading of a chart is usually dense. The conversation translates the calculation to your situation, when you need it, and lets you go deeper into one theme at a time. It adds to the work of an astrologer and to your own study.
On matters of health or intense distress, the reading can be a companion and the right professional is still the way to go. And on any matter, Vedik shows what the method indicates. The last word is always yours.
